BackPack for Kids is a ministry through the Church at Rock Creekthat provides weekend meals for homeless children in Central Arkansas. The food is purchased by the Church members tithes & offerings and is subsidized by outside contributions from local businesses to help support the growing financial need. The food is ordered through the Arkansas Foodbank Network.

The area school districts work with our volunteers to locate the children in need. We then pack backpacks with breakfast, lunch, dinnerand snacks for both Saturday and Sunday. The backpacks are delivered toover 35 schools by every Friday where children attend for them to takehome for the weekend.

Our program works with the Little Rock School District, North LittleRock School District, Pulaski County Special School District and BentonElementary School. We are currently feeding over 400 children eachweekend. We also have a summer program with the Little Rock SchoolDistrict, serving 50 children during the summer months.
