If We Would Just Let Them, Imagine What Our Children Could Do?

What Kidz R.A.P. Does:

• Provides “hands on” ministry opportunities for children.

• Children “real play” instead of “role play” serving others.

• Teaches children how to apply their faith and obey God.

• Helps children feel like a part of church.

• Allows children to influence other children.

• Lets children impact lives of those in need.

• Unites families in service. Children who see adult examples of compassion, learn compassion.

• Helps strengthen the family unit. Service causes children to become others-focused rather than self-focused.

• Solidifies the faith of children. When children serve, they are less likely to abandon their faith.

KIDS WHO SEE ADULT EXAMPLES OF COMPASSION LEARN COMPASSION.

When children see you and other adults actively caring for others in the service projects we do or when children hear the things you say to others and hear your prayers, they will begin to imitate that behavior. They will also begin to catch the vision and the excitement for service that the adults around them model. Learning by watching adults who are enthusiastic about serving God is the most powerful form of education we as parents can provide.

THE RICE DEPOT:
Through Kidz R.A.P. children labeled and sorted a five-foot pallet of canned goods that fed several hundred hungry children through the “Kids Feeding Kids” program.

THE ROCK CREEK FOOD BANK:
Our children made 250 Kidz Food Packz that were distributed to hungry children in Central Arkansas. These packs containing “kid friendly” food are a great way for children to receive something made especially for them. Kidz R.A.P. has been asked to oversee this project on a continual basis.

HAPPY SATURDAY PARTY:
Kidz R.A.P. hosted a “Happy Saturday” party for residents at a local nursing home. We provided decorations, snacks, games and entertainment. Our children spent one on one time getting to know several residents at the facility. One resident commented that she was so thankful for our visit because her family lived out of state, and she never had any visitors.

SHOES FOR PERU:
Our children supplied 85 pairs of new shoes to children living in the mountains of Peru. The children in Peru had cut out the toes of their old shoes so they could wear them longer. Without Kidz R.A.P., who knows when they would have gotten a new pair of shoes.

BREAKFAST IN A BAG:
Through Kidz R.A.P. children made 365 breakfast bags for a homeless ministry in Central Arkansas. This provided one homeless person breakfast for an entire year.
