First and foremost, our number goal in the Music and Worship ministry is to worship God with our lives. As we are led by his spirit and follow after his heart both individually and together, we hope to effectively combine biblical truth and our God-given gifting through music in the corporate setting. In this, we strive to encourage the Church at Rock Creek community to know and proclaim the worth of God, as he alone so awesomely deserves.

We are a community of diverse musicians from all sorts of backgrounds and stories, united under a love for God and serving him through the gifts he has given us. Relationships are key to our worship team. We seek to live life and serve together in community.

Practically, we are everything from self-taught instrumentalists to classically trained vocalists. Some of us learn with our ears, while others read music. No matter, we seek to use each person’s gifts in the area they most strongly serve in and are most passionate for.

We serve in two main areas during Sunday morning and Monday night services:

• Worship Band

• Vocal Team

We would love to serve alongside you at the Church at Rock Creek. If you are interested in getting involved, here is what you need to do:

• Become a member. Anyone who wants to serve in the Music and Worship Ministry must be an active member of the church. You can learn more about membership here.

• Audition. We set up auditions on an individual basis. We would love to chat with you about auditioning or any questions you have regarding serving with us. Inquire and submit with this form [link]. We will contact you to set up a time to audition and discuss our methods of doing so with you.

• After auditioning, wait for an invitation. Those who audition will then receive a letter of possible areas of service and in most cases will be called upon to serve as opportunities become available.
